Zwei Tage vor Herbstbeginn 2024 geht die Ausgabe online – und trotzdem ist die Freude über den ersten Lebkuchen und das erste Weihnachtsgebäck im Supermarkt groß. Zumindest bei Nina Bilinski: „Ich schlage sofort zu, kann Lebkuchen auch bei 30 Grad essen, kein Problem.“ Tonia Krüger liebt Weihnachtsgebäck zwar auch, „aber ich reiße mich zusammen, ab dem 1. Dezember da eskaliert es dann.“ Ganz anders sieht das bei Leonie Lastella aus: „Es hatte Gründe, warum ich bei unserem Weihnachtsbuch-Projekt den Grinch-Part übernommen habe. Ich esse keine Lebkuchen. Niemals.“ Wobei es bei Leonie nicht nur ums Gebäck geht. Im Gegensatz zu ihrer Co-Autorin von Kisses in the Snow und Snowflakes & Heartbeats hat sie eher eine generelle X-Mas-Allergie: „Ich mache das ganze Spiel nur für die Familie mit!“ Witzig: ausgerechnet Leonies Schreib-Buddie hat die Weihnachtsdeko das ganze Jahr nicht abgenommen! Ob damit etwa Tonia Krüger gemeint ist? Weil sie unter anderem mit ihr, seit dem Frühjahr 2024 den Podcast The Book Hangover hostet? Schließlich haben die beiden auch eine etwas andere Meinung und Auffassung, was spicy Szenen betrifft. Während Leonie bei Tiktok 4 bis 4,5 Paprikaschoten einheimst, kommt Nina Bilinski „vielleicht auf 2,5, weil ich eher slow burn schreibe.“ Tonia ist es „manchmal echt zu viel. Allerdings habe ich auch das Gefühl, dass wir durch Spice Szenen einiges bewirken können.“ Wie hot es bei Deep Blue Nights dem zweiten Teil aus der Broken-Heart-Summer-Reihe zugeht, gibt´s übrigens im Argon-Hörbuch am Ende des Podcatss zu erleben. By the way: Nicht alle drei Autorinnen schreiben auch die Sex-Szenen aus der Männerperspektive. Obwohl die Recherchemöglichkeiten da wirklich groß sind. Spoiler: die sind allerdings eher virtuell. Auch dazu gibt´s, wie zu Testlesern, Hörbücher-Vorlieben, Verlagen und vielem mehr, einige Insights. Wie auch zu den Örtlichkeiten, die die drei beschreiben: inklusive nächtlichem Baden, Rucksack- und Zelturlaub samt Roadtrips. Denn die entspringen nicht der Phantasie. Zumindest nicht nur. Natürlich dann eben auch an den Verkaufszahlen. „Mir liegt die Serie Forsberg sehr am Herzen. Aber, wenn der Verlag sagt, es geht damit nicht weiter, dann ist das eben so.“ Kurios: der Verlag war es, der wollte dass die Serie in Schweden spielt, nicht wie von Ben Tomasson gedacht auf Husum. Ob als nun der vierte Fall der Letzte ist? Fakt ist: die preisgekrönte Reihe von Horst Eckert um Melia Adan und Vincent Veih ist vorbei: „für mich war das nach dem vierten Band so, dass sich ein Kreis schließt. Zumal die private Site der beiden Figuren auserzählt war. Ich könnte einen fünften Fall erfinden, wo die beiden ermitteln, aber das ist mir dann zu wenig.“ Traurig für alle die, die Eckert auf seiner letzten Lesereise gefragt haben, wie es mit dem ungleichen Paar weitergeht und für Hörbuchsprecherin und Schauspielerin Anne Moll: „jetzt wo ich die Reihe grade für mich entdeckt habe.“ In der Vorbereitung auf den Podcast natürlich: „Denn ich muss immer gut vorbereitet sein. Es gibt Kolleginnen, die gehen einfach so in die Sprecherkabine, machen den Umaschlag auf und lesen los. Das bin ich nicht. Wenn ich ein Buch einlese, dann sieht das aus wie eine Partitur, da ist alles gekennzeichnet.“ Und natürlich stellt sich dann auch die Frage, wenn eine Serie eingestellt oder die Sprecherin/der Sprecher ausgetauscht wird, warum?
